I would highly recommend Shafik Shah as a driving instructor. I did around 15 hours of lessons around Horseforth to smooth out the edges after already preparing a lot on my own and he helped tremendously! His teaching style was the right amount of helpful while still letting me be in the driver’s seat and I believe it really helped me to pass my driving test with 1 minor. He made sure I felt safe with how I was driving and was very upfront and honest about how I could improve.

Passed with 0 faults! I did my lessons with instructor Shafiq Shah, and he taught me everything I needed to know to pass and I had really good practice and lessons with him. Throughout my time learning with Shafiq, he was always on time to lessons, honest with me and didn’t miss a thing that I would need to know to drive safely. I highly recommend Shafiq as an instructor if you want to pass!

I had an intense course then a few lessons after on the run up to my test. Shafiq is always on time, very accommodating and polite. Passed first time today after 3 months of lessons at Horsforth test centre, Leeds.

I had previously tried my driving test three times in Grimsby and unfortunately failed each time. After moving to Leeds, I began practicing with Mr. Shafiq Shah for three months, and the difference was incredible.

Mr. Shah is timely, organised, and gives clear, effective instructions that genuinely help you improve. He truly cares about his students, always making sure you feel comfortable, confident, and supported during every lesson. His car is always clean and well-maintained, creating a calm and safe environment that’s perfect for learning.

What I appreciated most was how consistently supportive he was. Even on the days when I doubted myself, he never did—he encouraged me, pushed me to do better, and celebrated every bit of progress with me.

Hona is a very nice instructor. She explains things very clearly and can point out my driving "problems" promptly. I was with another driving school and didn't pass my first test. Hona agreed to help me with relatively short notice. And after two weeks of practice, I passed the test yesterday. Many thanks to Hona. I would definitely recommend her to other learners.

After five failed attempts, I was at the end of my tether—massively invested in a vehicle that had sat dormant for a year and a half. In my previous tests, I was a nervous wreck because my former instructor made me question and doubt everything I did while driving.

Then I started lessons with Shafiq Shah, who pulled me out of that hole. Week by week, he rebuilt my skills and my broken confidence. Shafiq taught me the correct way to drive, and for the first time, I no longer had any doubts.

Today, the 22nd of August. I finally passed. It’s all behind me now.
