Pass Your Theory Test

Prepare for Your Practical Test

Your instructor will advise you on booking your practical test, walk you through test routes, and guide you on the "Show Me, Tell Me" questions.

Note on Test Day Charges: Driving test bookings require hiring your instructor's car. A standard 2-hour fee applies for the Leeds, Leeds Colton Mill and Horsforth Driving test centres. (e.g., 1-hour pre-test warm-up lesson, test duration, and return journey home). This fee will increase for out of area driving test centres, please discuss with your instructor or call our office.

Private practice whilst taking driving lessons.

You can help a family member or friend who is learning to drive by offering private practice if :

• You’re at least 21 years old
• You’re qualified to drive the type of vehicle they’re driving - for example, you must have a manual car licence if you’re supervising someone in a manual car
• You are not currently banned from driving

Important: It is illegal for a private supervisor to accept any payment or Fuel money. Only qualified or trainee instructors (ADIs/PDIs) can take payment for lessons.
